Windsor Farms - Horses of interest
There are a few horses on the farm with special meaning.
Windsor Hostess
The farm is named in her honor. She was born in 1979, and produced 3
Stakes horses. She died in 2005 at the age of 26. Her winning
daughter Windsor's Melody has her second foal in training. He is by Walter Willy
(Ire) and will start in 2006.
Windsor Gold
He is a Stakes winning son of Windsor Hostess by Candi's Gold. He won
the California Sires race going away, and finished 2nd in the Snow Chief
stakes. He also had a fine 4th in the Cinema Handicap, a grade 3 Turf
Stakes. He was injured in his 4 YO year, and retired to the farm. He
is a very classy horse and can now be ridden. He's really a big softy!
Claudius
Claudius is a record setting stakes winning sire by Majestic Light out
of Classy Ellie by Irish River. His first foal to run was Hi Teck Man,
winner of the WinStar Derby - a $500,000 race! See more information on his

Bestbandintheland
"Bestband" is a full brother to the very successful sire
Chimes Band who was a leading sire in New Mexico until his death in 2005.
Bestbandintheland could run a bit himself as he demonstrated in his 3 YO
year finishing on the board in 8 out of 10 races all in allowance company
at top tracks including Belmont, Aqueduct, Saratoga, Keenland, and

Saintry
Saintry is by Groom Dancer out of the Nijinski mare Sainte Croix.
Sainte Croix is out of the fantastic female family of Spearfish and
Alabama Gal. Saintry has only had a few foals on the track, but his first
runner out of a Siyah Kalem mare was stakes placed. See his information
